Equine Guided Learning Workshops

in partnership with the Ranch Life Collective

Using the pure and reciprocal relationship with the horse as a vehicle to promote insight, learning and connection, these exploratory workshops offer a unique opportunity to access your authentic self and true leadership style in a beautiful natural setting.  In the 56 million years horses have been on this earth they have evolved within high sophisticated social networks, so they have much to teach us about connection.  If we are open to receiving their wisdom, they can help us reconnect with ourselves and improve the ways we relate to others.  Through facilitated exercises with the horses and one another, we will pay attention to what emerges.  If diving into this mystery intrigues you, come and invite the horses to support your journey.

Introduction to Horse and Human Partnering

A half-day workshop to learn more about the field of equine facilitation

  • Are you a coach, therapist or healer interested in learning more about bringing horses into your work?

  • Are you an equine professional looking to expand your offerings?

  • Are you curious about equine therapy or equine coaching as a career?

In this half-day workshop, we’ll partner with the horses for experiential learning and delve into the science (and the magic) of being with them. This is a great starting point for those curious about this work and wanting to learn more.

In the expanding field of horse/human partnering, with a variety of acronyms, certifications, and modalities, this introductory course will give an overview of the scope and possibilities of this work, and we’ll also leave time for Q & A on the ins and outs of certification.

  • What are the possibilities?

  • What is our role as we partner with horses in this work?

  • What are the ethics? How is the horse regarded?

  • What are industry standards or best practices?  How do we honor Scope of Practice?

  • What does the path to certification look like?

Wild Horses in Black & White

Introduction to Horsemanship Basics

A half-day workshop to introduce basic, on-the-ground horse skills

  • Are you a coach, therapist or healer interested in learning more about bringing horses into your work?

  • Has it been awhile since you’ve been around horses and want to freshen your skills?

  • Does your child ride and do you wish you could be of more assistance around the barn?

  • Do you love horses and simply want to learn more about them?

We teach what is often skipped over or left out in traditional riding programs.   For years, we’ve been teaching kids these essential horse skills in our Marin Ranch School program, and we’re frequently asked, "Do you have this program for adults?"

Here’s your chance to dive in.

This hands-on workshop is designed for adults without any or much horse experience who would like to gain, improve and practice their on-the-ground horse skills.  Horses are large, powerful animals and being around them requires awareness, presence and a measure of safety – all of which we will cover.
